Karim Hassan scored 14 points to bring Broome to a 34-39 victory over Woodruff on Tuesday night.
Claiming a 15-13 lead at the half, the Centurions fought hard to stay ahead. After going ice cold in the 3rd quarter, Woodruff brought the game to a tie. The Centurions scored a game-high 16 points in the 4th quarter while going on a 12-4 run. Jeb Dawson sealed the victory by sinking both free throws with 6 seconds left in the game.
Hassan was on the ball from the field, making 50% of his shot attempts. He also contributed 5 rebounds, 1 assists, and 2 steals.
Keyanthony Stringer made it into double digits, scoring 10 points, as well as, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals. Also chipping in for Broome were Kendre Sinclair (4 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals), Omarion Smith (3 points, 2 rebounds, 1 steal).
