Broome can't complete comeback against Chapman

The Broome JV Boys' fall just short in overtime at Chapman 50-48. The Centurions got off to a very slow start, scoring just four points in the first quarter. Chapman did not waste any time taking advantage and built a 14 point lead. After an improved second quarter, where Chapman only outscored Broome by one point, the Centurions went into half down 23-15.

However, as this team has shown time and time again, they did not quit for even a second. They came out of the break strong with a 15-8 3rd quarter run, and pulled the game to within one going into the fourth. In a highly entertaining fourth quarter, the Centurions were able to take their first lead of the night. But it would prove to be not enough, and at the end of regulation, the game was all tied up.

In overtime, the lead changed back and forth several times, with Chapman pulling ahead by 2 with 5.4 seconds left. The Centurions were able to get one last chance to win the game but the shot bounced out and Chapman secured the rebound for the win.

The two teams face off again @ 4:30 tonight, in what should be a very exciting rematch.

The Centurions were led by Kadarius Harrison (13 points, 2 assists, 7 steals) and Logan King (12 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists). KJ Morgan (7 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals) provided impact plays on both ends of the floor, and Rylan Brown (8 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists) provided a much needed spark off of the bench.

Also contributing were Markus Lindsay (3 points, 2 assists), Adam Comer (3 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 blocks), Chandler Messer (2 points, 1 assist, 1 steal), Brayzon Lyles (7 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal), and Caleb Quinn (1 assist, 1 steal)
